ABOUT THE BLOG

Salam and Hello! I’m Izyan Nadhirah (Izzy), just a typical medical student trying to navigate my journey in the fast lane. Throughout my clinical years, I’ve witnessed tons of emotional, incredible and heart-tugging events which made me reflect and became inspired. I started to write these experiences to myself as they kept me going whenever I have those “dispirited” moments (Medicine is a really tough field). Then, I’ve decided to share these experiences in Facebook to reach my friends as there are more to medicine than just saving lives. It is about empathy, compassion and awareness. Those are the meaning behind "Life Behind Stets" as a stethoscope symbolises medicine. Anyway, the responses were beyond what I’ve expected and that gave me the drive to write more.

For those who have been following me from Facebook, I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to read my shared thoughts and experiences. You guys are the very reason I'm venturing into blogging. For those who are new here, I hope these stories will give some impact to you as how they left a huge mark on me.
