Last night, I had an oncall in the Accident & Emergency department. I was taking a history from an old Indian man who had multiple fractures on the hand due to trauma. But the conversation continued to be a life lesson from him. He wasn't concern about his ordeal, he said that everything happens for a reason and you just have to look at the brighter side of things. (Let me remind you he's having multiple fractures here!) He told me to be positive in all the things that I do, and I will not feel burdened by them. He made me promised to always be positive in my studies and believe that I will achieve greatness in the future. It's funny how sometimes we learn things from patients themselves, aside from textbooks.
Writer's note: This was my very first Facebook post regarding my clinical experiences. I had received many likes and positive feedbacks from my readers which gave me the motivation to share more stories.
